Here's what we know about the “NIH 25”:   

• They’re all boys 
• They’re only 8-to-10 weeks old 
• They’re domestic shorthair kittens  
• They cost about $1,638 each 
• Their hearts are cut out at Temple University 
• They’re likely purchased from Liberty Research—a business that breeds and sells kittens to Temple.   

But here’s the hard truth: WCW’s revenue is down 47% this year—our worst performance in four years.  

Unless we close the gap by midnight on 8/1, we could lose the fight for the NIH 25.

Back in 2019, I shut down my very first cat laboratory: the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s “Kitten Slaughterhouse.” 

White Coat Waste (WCW) uncovered how the USDA bred, killed, and burned 10-week-old kittens—the exact same age as the NIH 25 kittens.

These kittens were forced to eat the diseased brains, tongues, and hearts of other dogs and cats—strays and pets from China’s wet markets. 

$22.5 million in taxes. 50 years of wasteful spending. 6,635 lives lost. It was the largest cat laboratory in the entire U.S. federal government.  

And the greatest moment of my life was leading the campaign that exposed it—and closed it.

Then I personally adopted two of the breeding mothers as pets. One of these cats was Petite (Govt ID #15KEY5). 

The USDA purchased Petite for $695. And guess where they bought her from? 

LIBERTY RESEARCH.

My pet came from the very same dealer that sells kittens to the NIH 25 lab!

Marigold (formerly Govt ID #11-245) spent nearly 13 years in this NIH-funded lab. After shutting it down, I adopted Marigold and gave her a home.

And when Secretary McDonough approved painful experiments on seven cats at the Department of Veterans Affairs—a longtime Liberty Research customer—I stopped him.  

WCW destroyed his lab, saved the “Stokes 7,” and killed the VA’s 65-year-old cat testing program.
