I'm writing to you not just as the president of EMILYs List, but as someone who's seen enough political fights to know exactly what Republicans are doing right now.
Republicans passed Trump's billionaire budget bill — which slashed support for hardworking Americans in order to save billionaires money. Families across America will feel the impact in schools, in hospitals, and at kitchen tables across the country.
But instead of owning up to the damage they've done, Republicans are gearing up to spin this as a win. They'll spend the next few weeks out on the trail trying to rewrite the story — hoping voters don't look too closely, and that Democrats get tired of fact-checking them.
We won't.
Here's our plan:
- We're putting the worst offenders On Notice — calling out House Republicans who voted for this disastrous bill, and making sure voters know exactly who sold them out.
- We've just rolled out a new wave of U.S. House endorsements — Carol Obando-Derstine (PA-07), Janelle Stelson (PA-10), and JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06) are running in critical and FLIPPABLE seats, ready to take on the GOP and win.
- And we're going all-in on our gubernatorial candidates — Abigail Spanberger (VA) and Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NJ), who are just 96 days from facing off against extreme, well-funded Republican challengers.
This End-of-Month goal isn't just about hitting a number. It's about having the resources to break through Republican lies and reach the voters who will decide whether we move forward or fall backward.
