If I close my eyes, I can hear John Lewis’ words to “never give up. To never give in. To keep faith and keep our eyes on the prize.”

Those words have been on my mind as we fight to make progress for our community from securing millions to modernize our public transit, to standing up for our schools, to giving small businesses and military families the support they deserve.

But every step forward is hard-fought. And as we approach the end of the month, I’m reminded that progress doesn’t happen by accident. It takes all of us working together, believing in better, and never giving up.
