Today, Representative Valoree Swanson, announced that the Texas Women’s Privacy Act (HB 32) has strong support from Texas House members, with more than 80 co-authors who have signed their name in support of the bill. Having this many Texas House members support the bill indicates that the Texas House has enough votes to pass the bill. Read the Press Release here.

Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values, said:
“The Texas House, just like the people of Texas, again show overwhelming support for a Texas law that will protect the dignity and safety of women in their sex-separated spaces. Governor Abbott has put this issue on the call for the Special Session because our state must act now to protect women’s privacy. I look forward to the Texas House to continue to lead on this issue.”

On Tuesday, the Texas Values Law and Policy team held an information session at the Texas Capitol for Texas House and Senate members and their staff on the Texas Women’s Privacy Act. We were joined by our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom who also presented at the meeting.

We had special guests speak including Steve Munisteri from the Office of Governor Abbott and Rep. Valoree Swanson the author of the Texas Women’s Privacy Act HB 32. The event was extremely well attended and the audience left educated and motivated to help protect women’s privacy. Please continue to contact your Texas House and Texas Senate members and ask them to support HB 32 and SB 7!

Over 47,000+ Texas Classrooms have been Adopted!

47,250 to be exact. That's roughly 1,327 schools adopted out of 9,794 in Texas, which is 10% complete!

Texas Values helped lead the passage of Texas SB 10 this legislative session which by law allows the Ten Commandments are to be displayed in public school classrooms across Texas.

But it’s up to the people of Texas to help implement this new law—and you can play a vital role. For the Ten Commandments to be displayed, the poster or framed copy must be donated to the school(s).

With this tool, RestoreAmericanSchools.com you can select the school(s) in your area, purchase posters for just $1 each (including shipping), and follow a simple step-by-step guide to donate them to your local school and district. You can also volunteer to deliver posters to schools. Our goal is to distribute posters by Sept. 1.

If Texans across the state participate, we can ensure that the Ten Commandments are restored to every classroom in our great state.

We encourage you to involve your neighbors, church small group, or family in this important effort.

While adopting a school, please take a moment to mark "Texas Values" in the referral drop down menu so we can keep track of volunteer statistics!

Jonathan Covey, Director of Policy for Texas Values Discusses the Women's Privacy Issue with Special Guest Payton McNabb, Independent Women Ambassador!

"A little over a year ago I experienced a man in the bathroom with me…almost 10 years older than me….I had no idea what his goal was.

I ended going through a 9 month civil rights battle where I was having to fight not only being expelled but also being charged with sexual harassment.

More often than not, these women are being threatened into silence. It’s so sad to see…you don’t owe silence to anyone.

To see a president champion these issues and take them for what they are and elevate these stories and give them that platform for the world to see how wrong it really is, is just so refreshing and it’s such a blessing.

My time playing is over but I knew that the Lord had a bigger plan for me and I’m just going to continue to follow it to the best of my abilities." ~ Payton McNabb
