Today is the last day of July. As such, every Democratic campaign in the nation is sending emails and texts stressing the importance of their end of month goal and asking for donations.
The subject line of this email “Our email is more important than any candidate or PAC email” may seem like hyperbole. It isn’t, here’s why.
In just three months Pennsylvanians will vote on whether or not to keep the Democratic majority on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Republicans taking the majority means:
- No more election accountability. MAGA will have a free hand to pull dirty tricks election rigging in the 2026 midterms and 2028 Presidential election where Trump says he will seek a third term

The complete gerrymandering of Pennsylvania’s Congressional map, turning safe Democratic seats into deep red ones, increasing the GOP House majority akin to what is happening in Texas right now.
- The implementation of an extreme zero tolerance abortion ban in Pennsylvania.
Voter turnout in these off year judicial elections is extremely low. MAGA is taking advantage of this by covertly preparing a massive voter drive. They have tens of millions at the ready whereas Defend our Courts, one of the only Democratic groups ringing the alarm about this race, has only raised $500,000 since May
If we don’t act, on November 6th we are on track to wake up to news that Democrats have lost the PA Supreme Court. Overnight Pennsylvania will go from a toss up purple state to a bright red MAGA state like Mississippi or Arkansas where Democrats have no chance.
We have three months to avert this disaster and barely anyone outside of Pennsylvania is talking about this. So when we say this is the most important email you’ll receive today this is why. The congressional candidates and other PACs can wait, we can’t.
