Hey there,
With all of the destruction underway in Washington today, we run the risk of imagining that our work simply consists of stopping, then reversing, the damage. But this era will require much more of us than that.
Yes, we’ve seen deep damage – to our institutions, to our sense of community, to the very idea of truth. But the problems in our politics and society were clearly visible even before this wave of damage arrived. So our project cannot be simply to restore the old status quo. Our job is to reimagine what’s possible.
That’s why I’m committed to supporting new voices, creating space for deeper conversations, and investing in a politics that meets this moment – and the next.
But I can’t do it alone. If you believe, as I do, that this moment demands more from all of us, I hope you’ll consider contributing today to help power my work:
Together, we can make sure the future is not defined by what’s been torn down – but by what we choose to build.
Thank you.
Pete
