With your support -- and the support of thousands of folks like you -- we defied the odds and the GOP establishment by flipping this seat blue back in 2024.
It was an extremely close race. Now I’m facing my first re-election battle, and it is shaping up to become another critical toss-up for House control.
Not only do I officially have a Republican challenger, they entered the race with a full-throated endorsement from Mike Garcia -- the GOP incumbent I defeated in November.
The national GOP is increasing their attacks because they know I am one of the most vulnerable Democrats nationwide. Democrats know this, too: It’s why I’ve been named to the “Frontline” program for the most at-risk incumbents.
There’s a lot of talk about this race and if I’ll be able to hold the line. I want you to know that I’m taking my job in Congress seriously, and I’m laser-focused on delivering results for the Antelope, San Fernando, and Santa Clarita Valleys.
