When devastating floods swept through Texas over the July 4th holiday, the lives of countless families were upended—and when families suffer, so do pets. That’s where we come in—to provide a lifeline when communities are struggling in the aftermath of natural disasters.
Thanks to our community’s compassion, 31 vulnerable dogs are now safe at PAWS Chicago. These pets were already in shelters before the flood hit —by rescuing them, we make room for Texas shelters to save animals who were lost or separated from their families.
For the past 20 years, PAWS has been dedicated to natural disaster rescue relief—from our first rescue missions for Hurricane Katrina to today.
