![]() ![]() When I meet with various supporters, influencers, and leaders from around the state, I am often asked a version of “who are you backing in 2026?” Whether we like it or not, the campaign season is now in full swing. Announcements are being made. Jabs are being thrown. Money is being raised. The state of Georgia has a US Senate seat, 14 congressional seats, 8 constitutional officers, and 236 legislative seats all on the ballot. A serious domino effect – where one elected leader runs for higher office, creating a vacancy another elected leader seeks to fill, and another open seat gets created – is already occurring. This election season is going to be tough and complicated. That’s why, in this season, I have informed opinions – I know what someone has done with the platform God has given them and I’ve built many relationships with these candidates. And, I am forming opinions – as I watch the vision the candidate casts, the organization they build, and the money they are able to raise. I am not, yet, making endorsements. The reason for this is simple: we cannot afford to get 2026 wrong. Now is not a time for settling; it’s a time for testing. How hard is someone willing to work? How firm will they stand on principles? What is their positive, forward-looking vision for Georgia? Are they called to this position or do they just want this position? How do they withstand pressure? What are they doing to prepare to win? Is their campaign team strong? Are they building a fundraising apparatus that can sustain them? Do they have a disciplined message? Are they raising the standard of what we expect from “politicians,” or are they succumbing to their baser instincts? Call me “Missouri,” but I’m asking everyone seeking higher office to SHOW ME, and you, that they will be a Jesus-loving, neighbor-loving leader (Mark 12:30-31) who also runs the race to win the prize (1 Corinthians 9:24). This approach is hard. It requires an organization that stands on principle not politics, one that is strong and has a deep base, and it requires resources that bring gravity to our work. Can you help by supporting this approach? I believe that this election cycle is a crucial test for Georgia but, more importantly, the Church. Will Christians engage like never before? Can we raise the standard? We can. We must. And, we will. Thank you for standing with us. ![]() Cole Muzio ![]() |
