Unfortunately, today we have to introduce you to Jessica’s opponent, Bill Huizenga. It’s important that you understand why winning this race is so important. But fair warning, this is going to make you mad. 

He says he’s a family man, but he makes it harder to plan for a family. Huizenga is one of the most radical anti-choice members of Congress, and even voted against an opportunity to protect IVF treatment so more families could have children.

Huizenga only makes himself available to MAGA megadonors and Trump himself. He refuses to hold town halls, and until recently, he even had voicemail service turned off in his Congressional office. Constituents in this district have come to expect being ignored.

Even though more than 1 in every 5 people in MI-4 rely on Medicaid for their healthcare, including one in every three children, Huizenga voted to strip away their healthcare and food aid. Even worse, he was caught enjoying a victory dance as Speaker Mike Johnson signed that bill into law, showing his complete disinterest in the well-being of the people he’s supposed to represent.

One bright side is that we have a way to hold him accountable: and that is to replace him in Congress with Jessica Swartz.

We must make this change.  Not only will winning this seat allow Democrats to flip the House, Jessica has the qualifying experience to lead this district.
