Earlier this month, presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden asked, "Do we really think this as good as we can be as a nation?" He was talking about the President's leadership and his supporters, doubting that a majority of Americans support President Trump. He even went so far as to say that "10 to 15 percent" of Americans "are just not very good people."
And who does he think those 10 to 15 percent are? Because as I've traveled throughout Kansas, I can tell you that nearly all of the people I meet are honest, hardworking Americans who love their country and their neighbor. We might not always agree on policy, but our great nation is full of wonderful people.
So again, who are these 10 to 15 percent that he's talking about? That could be nearly 50 million Americans that Biden has just called "not very good," just because of their support for our President. To label such a large group of Americans as bad just to appeal to another group of Americans for political gain is just plain ... deplorable.
We've got to fight back against the intolerant left to ensure that our Kansas values – those of integrity, honesty and personal freedom – aren't someday considered bad.
