Dear John,
Today is the 60th anniversary of Medicaid and Medicare.
For 60 years, Medicaid and Medicare have served as a vital lifeline for thousands of Delawareans, ensuring that seniors, working families, and our most vulnerable neighbors have access to the care they need and deserve. These programs are more than just policies, they are a reflection of our shared values: that quality, affordable health care should be a right, not a privilege.
But today, they are under threat.
Donald Trump and the Republicans are pushing a cruel and calculated budget that would gut Medicaid and Medicare, ripping health care away from thousands of Delawareans. Their plan isn’t just heartless, it’s an attack on the very people these programs were meant to protect, all so the wealthiest can get yet another tax break.
It’s not just wrong….it’s unjust.
This is a civil rights fight. The Delaware Democratic Party stands united in this fight. We will continue to oppose any effort to dismantle the progress we’ve made.
But we can’t do this alone. This fight requires resources and we need your help.
Will you chip in today to help us protect the fundamental right to health care in Delaware? Every dollar helps us push back against these dangerous policies and build power for those who’ve been ignored and excluded for far too long.

The fight for justice does not stop. And neither do we.
In solidarity and struggle,
