John --

I've been commercial fishing in Alaska since I was 14. I am a lifelong Alaskan.

Before this summer, I've never experienced 90+ degree days or large numbers of salmon dying from high water temperatures that one would expect in Florida, not Alaska. I've also never witnessed so many devastating wildfires -- destroying pristine habitats, killing wildlife, threatening communities, and disrupting travel.

Alaska is warming faster than any other state in America. We are the canary in the coal mine for assessing climate change -- and right now, that canary is literally choking on smoke.

Maybe Dan Sullivan hasn't noticed these changes because he's from Ohio, not Alaska.

But you and I do. We know climate change is threatening our planet and our way of life. If you're with me to protect our environment and create the good-paying, green energy jobs of the future, make a donation of $5 or more today to our campaign:

We are at a tipping point and too many politicians in Washington, D.C. ignore the science and the crisis because of big polluters and corporations who profit off the status quo.

I don't owe the special interests anything.

As your U.S. Senator, I'll make taking on climate change a priority. In Alaska, we have enormous potential to develop wind, hydroelectric, and tidal power as new energy sources. Reducing energy costs in rural Alaska creates new jobs and it's good policy for our people.

I believe we can take on climate change -- the challenge of our lifetime -- but in order to do it, we need to build a campaign that's capable of defeating Dan Sullivan, ditching Mitch McConnell, and fighting back against big special interests.

If you can, please show me you're a #ClimateChangeVoter by making a donation to our campaign today.
