Abigail Spanberger for Governor

60 years ago today, President Johnson signed Medicare and Medicaid into law.

I ran for Congress in part because Donald Trump and my Republican representative attempted to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Now, Republicans in Washington have voted to rip away healthcare from 320,000+ Virginians, raise premiums for working families, and threaten the closure of our rural hospitals.

I couldn't sit on the sidelines then, and I won't today.

Not when my opponent, Winsome Earle-Sears, is cheering on this attack on Virginia families.

My promise to you in this campaign is the same promise I've always made: to put Virginians first.

That's what I'm doing as I travel the Commonwealth and hear from people on these issues. But we all know the best way to tackle problems is not alone — it's as a team.

I'm asking you to contribute to our campaign today, before our first end-of-month deadline of the fundraising quarter. In a close race, a race that could become the most expensive in Virginia's history, every dollar is appreciated.

Thank you,

Abigail Spanberger
