John, today marks one year since our primary election in Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District. Last year, our relentless, young team of over 30 members and hundreds of volunteers knocked on 165,000 doors, made 50,000 calls, and showed the kind of change we can make when we come together and get organized.
It took three weeks to find out the final results of last year’s primary election. Those may have been the most anxiety-filled weeks of my life (the below picture is a pretty accurate representation)—but in the end, we delivered a win that many thought was impossible.
It’s been the honor of my life to serve my community in Congress, and it means the world to have you on this team. Together, we’ve pushed back against this authoritarian administration’s xenophobic attacks on our immigrant communities. We’re working to tackle extreme heat and create more affordable housing for Arizonans. And we’re holding far-right Republicans accountable for betraying their constituents by actually listening to what voters have to say.
