Friend,

Earlier this week, I saw some sobering statistics:

In 2018, there were 3,200 statewide polling places in Kentucky. But yesterday, there were only 200.

Zoom in further, half of Black Kentuckians live in Jefferson County, KY -- home to Louisville, a city with 600,000 people. But in the entire county? There was just one open polling place.

This is just another example in the long list so far this primary season of voter suppression, state-by-state, city-by-city. From lines so long in Georgia that people brought lawn chairs to wait to vote, to voters who didn't vote until 2 a.m. in Wisconsin. The right to vote is under attack, and there's no one fighting harder to right that wrong than Stacey Abrams and her organization Fair Fight.

Fair Fight is promoting free and fair elections in Georgia and around the country, and this work has never mattered more. These election days will keep happening unless we step up now: Will you donate $5 or more to support Fair Fight's work to support voter mobilization and combat voter suppression right now?

Chuck Schumer
