Just like the caddie who dropped the ball in a favorable spot after Trump shanked his drive, Texas Republicans are trying to give Trump a more favorable map for the midterms after the disastrous first 7 months of his second term.

Trump doesn’t want a fair contest—he’s a mediocre man who started his life with a leg up on everyone else due to his inheritance and he doesn’t even know how to compete on an even playing field.

If Democrats are going to beat MAGA in the 2026 midterms, we need to prepare for a fight tilted in Trump’s favor with an unprecedented investment in contesting MAGA in every corner of the country.
