The first redistricting map has been filed and it’s just as bad as we’ve feared—they are trying to erase FIVE districts, including HD 35, currently held by Progressive Caucus Chair Greg Casar.
They’re going to carve up our communities and illegally wipe out the power of Black and Latino voters—unless we stop them.
Make no mistake—this is what Ground Game Texas was built for. Our ballot initiatives are designed to engage new and infrequent voters, many of them voters of color. It’s up to all of us to do everything we can to prevent Trump, Abbott, and their accomplices in the Lege from taking us back to the days of Jim Crow and poll taxes.
We have to fight back, and we have to do it now. Here’s how you can help:
Contact Your Representative: The most powerful thing you can do right now is to make your voice heard. Use this link to find your state representative and tell them to vote NO on any new maps. It takes less than five minutes, and it makes a huge difference: Find Your Representative
Spread the Word: Don't let them do this in the dark. Tell three friends what's happening and ask them to contact their reps too. Post on social media and use the hashtag #TexasMapMassacre to raise awareness.
