One of the deadliest floods in history devastated the Hill Country this month. Entire communities are in mourning. Families are still searching for answers.

And what is Greg Abbott doing?

He’s funneling taxpayer dollars into a political redistricting scheme that will bust up Texas districts and dilute Black and Brown votes to help Donald Trump. Not delivering flood relief. Not fixing broken warning systems. Not even answering questions from survivors!

Let that sink in: all this loss, all this investigation to do, and Greg Abbott’s number 1 priority is locking in federal and Congressional power for Trump.

Abbott already had the authority to release disaster funding. He could have acted. He didn’t. He waited until the cameras were on and called a sham special session to rewrite congressional maps. As flagged above, the first draft of new GOP maps came out just today, and they are as bad as we imagined. They’re clearly drawn to represent Donald Trump and NOT the voice of Texans.

Texas Republicans just proved they are unable to stand up to their wannabe dictator, Donald Trump, and are more than willing to help him cheat. This isn’t leadership. This isn’t even close to the best that Texas has to offer.

This is corruption in broad freakin’ daylight, and I’m sick of it.

We’re organizing in every district they’re threatening to chop up and redraw — building volunteer teams, making a plan to knock doors, and reaching voters they want to silence. But to do that, we need your help right now.
