John,

The pathway to freedom and liberation is long and hard.

Police violence and the crisis of Covid-19 continues to show that Black and Brown life is undervalued in this country. Often our fight is reduced to a plea to be treated equally, but truthfully our fight is about feeling the deep levels of joy and safety systematic oppression robs us of daily.

So the Florida for All coalition, which New Florida Majority is a part of, wants to create space for us to come together in love and happiness through our official launch event on Friday, June 26.

Sign up here for our virtual party of joyful resistance this Friday, June 26 from 7pm to 10pm.  In the first hour, we’ll have performances from five local artists from across the state. We’ll then close out the event with 2 1-hour DJ sets full of great vibes and great energy.

Click here to find out who all is coming to the party.

Florida for All is a new statewide coalition that includes other FL-based organizations including: New Florida Majority, Dream Defenders, Florida Immigrant Coalition Votes, Faith in Action, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) - Florida, Organize Florida, and Florida Planned Parenthood PAC.

Our coalition intends to educate and motivate our communities to turnout in November to elect leaders up and down the ballot who share our values and can help us build a better future.

We value the joy and freedom of Black and brown people in Florida, and we know we can experience more joy as we build power together to create a better world for our communities and future generations.

Join us for a night of joy, dancing, and great energy in the midst of crisis. Register here today.

In times like these, we must still take the time and space to prioritize our collective healing and happiness so we can continue doing the hard work of building a Florida for all.

With power and unity,

Serena Perez
