John, For nearly 100 years, the NFA has been the federal government’s weapon of choice to intimidate and punish law-abiding gun owners like you. But that crumbling foundation is about to give way. Congress slashed the NFA’s $200 tax on suppressors and short-barreled firearms to $0, stripping away the flimsy excuse courts used to uphold this unconstitutional law. Yet, the federal registry on these items remains, leaving in place a dangerous tool for tracking and targeting law-abiding Americans. That’s why Gun Owners of America is taking the fight straight to the courts. Weak politicians won’t touch the NFA. We will. |
The Supreme Court upheld the NFA back in 1937 only because it was considered a tax. Now that the tax is gone, the NFA has no legal leg to stand on. What’s left is nothing but unconstitutional power-grabbing by bureaucrats. This is our moment to strike, but taking this lawsuit all the way to the Supreme Court will cost upwards of $500,000. |
