John, before I ask you to support me and my team ahead of our End of Month Fundraising Deadline, [[link removed]] it's important to remember what today is:
On this day in 1965, President Johnson signed Medicare and Medicaid programs into law, making sure the most vulnerable Americans had access to healthcare.
Now, 60 years later, the Trump Administration and MAGA extremists have abandoned every day Americans who depend on them — all for huge tax breaks for their ultra-wealthy donors.
And after the passing of their disaster of a budget bill, they've successfully jeopardized:
❌ Healthcare for 17 million Americans (including 2 million Floridians)
❌ A quarter of all nursing homes
❌ Low insurance premiums for low-income families AND the middle class
❌ Medicaid insurance coverage for sick AARP members
Today especially, we are reminded of 1️⃣ how critical Medicare and Medicaid have been to millions of Americans everywhere, and 2️⃣ how hard we'll have to work to restore it.
I've fought for affordable and accessible healthcare for over 30 years, John, and I don't plan on folding against the MAGA extremists in Washington or against the MAGA extremists in our district looking to unseat me.
But I need your help to make sure my team and I are meeting our early fundraising goals — ahead of tomorrow's End of Month Fundraising Deadline, would you make a donation to strengthen our pro-healthcare coalition in Congress? [[link removed]]
DONATE TODAY [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Lois
