Meet the Democratic Leader of the State Senate. Nikki Setzler.

A family man, small businessman and reformer. Setzler is known for being an effective leader with a dedicated career of public service. He represents District 26 in the South Carolina State Senate which includes Aiken, Calhoun, Lexington, and Saluda Counties. Valuing compromise over partisan politics, Seltzer is willing to work across party lines as a reform-minded leader to get things done and make a real difference.

Recent Accomplishments

Setzler advocated for increased access to vote-my-mail due to the looming COVID-19 pandemic by sponsoring relevant legislation
Pushed for free COVID-19 testing that was implemented in West Columbia, Swansea, and Salley
Co-sponsored amendment to increase LIFE and Palmetto Fellows scholarships to lower costs of students pursuing an education degree
Various West Columbia River District projects including securing a grant to provide wayfinding signs
