John,
As Sara outlined yesterday, momentum is on our side approaching 2025’s general elections—but moves from right-wing extremists continue to raise the stakes.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is escalating his attacks on a New York doctor who provided abortion via telemedicine, now suing a County Clerk.
A new national campaign is using the same playbook: Sixteen Republican Attorneys General have signed a letter to Congress urging them to pass legislation that would override state laws like New York’s shield protections.
I’m sharing this news because we’re still $4,165 short of meeting our July goal, and how we move now will determine the scale and success of our programs in November.
Our average 2025 donation is $21, which means that if just 200 new donors join us at that level, we’ll meet our July goal.
If you’re able, will you rush a donation to help us elect pro-choice state and local leaders this November?
The stakes are high, but our track record shows that if we invest strategically, we can win. There are no off-years, so thank you for staying with us.
With gratitude,

John,
It’s hard to believe that we’re more than halfway through 2025, which means that November elections are just around the corner. As an all cycle, every cycle organization, we’ve notched some vital wins already:
-
Just weeks after the 2024 elections, we turned around to elect pro-choice champions in two special legislative elections in Virginia.
- We helped elect Judge Susan Crawford to Wisconsin’s highest court, despite millions in spending against her by Elon Musk.
- Just last month, we helped Ghazala Hashmi secure the Democratic nomination for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia
These wins aren’t coincidences. They show a definitive pattern that around the country, voters are appalled by the relentless attacks on our most fundamental rights, and are eager for change.
We can carry this momentum into November and beyond—but we can’t do it alone.
John, We’re less than 100 days out from November elections, and how we invest now will determine where we win. Can you chip in $25 to support our work in the states?
There’s plenty of chatter about the midterm elections, but the truth is that we can’t wait until 2026 to fight back at the ballot box, and we don’t have to.
Municipal and state-wide elections across the country matter deeply: just look at Ulster County, New York, where a county clerk is now at the center of a national legal battle because of his refusal to aid anti-abortion extremists in their attempts to arrest and extort a doctor.
State and local elected officials continue to be on the front-lines of this fight, and they deserve our support. Before we close the door on July, can you donate $25 to help power our fight in the states?
Thank you for being with us,
