Dear John,
“‘Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord...’” — Acts 3:19-20a
As I reflect upon Peter’s words in these verses, I am struck by their importance for us today. God had just used him to heal a lame man. Everyone was amazed! Peter took the opportunity to share the gospel with the large crowd who had gathered around.
His message was simple. Repent that salvation and refreshment may come.
Today so many people around the world still need to hear this message. Those of us who follow Jesus still need it too.
We need to be reminded of our great need for a Savior. We need His healing and refreshment in our lives.
As we finish up the summer months of ministry, we invite you to come alongside us in praying for people who need help and to hear the message of hope. We would also count it a privilege to pray for you.
Praises and Prayers
We praise God that more than 40,000 people have heard the message of Jesus this year. God is working, opening doors for ministry and softening hearts to His message as our teams provide lifesaving aid, build relationships, and share hope.Two Unto teams will be traveling to serve in North Africa and Southeast Asia. Vision clinics will be hosted in both places, distributing eyeglasses, and sharing the message of Jesus. Please pray for the safety of the team and that many people will be impacted both physically and spiritually.
Our fiscal year-end wraps up on August 31. Please pray for God’s provision over the ministry. Please also pray for important projects that are finishing up over the next month.
