38,115.
That’s the number of new coronavirus cases reported yesterday in the United States.
And it’s a new record.
Let me say that again, because there are forces trying to downplay the severity of the ongoing crisis and because a numbness to the reality of this era may be setting in:
The United States just had its single worst day EVER for new coronavirus cases.
In fact, we pretty much shattered the previous record of 34,203 from two full months ago, on April 25.
The United States is among the worst countries on earth when it comes to a government’s absolute failure to keep its citizens safe.
We have so calamitously botched our response to the pandemic that the entire European Union may soon prohibit travel from the U.S.
So what is Donald Trump doing?
Trump is cutting off all federal funding for 13 coronavirus testing sites — including seven in Texas, which may well become our nation’s next epicenter.
Tell Congress:
Immediately restore funding for the 13 testing sites that Donald Trump wants to shutter even as the coronavirus continues surging throughout the country.
Add your name.
Thanks for taking action.
Stay safe.
