2025 Candidate Mixer

Tuesday, August 5, 6-8 p.m. At Motorco Music Hall, 723 Rigsbee Ave., Durham, NC 27701

Meet the candidates running for Mayor and City Council Ward seats in the Fall Municipal Election. The candidate mixer is free and open to the public. You do not need to be a member of the People's Alliance to attend this event. Light fare is provided.

All candidates in attendance will have an opportunity to speak to you from the stage to present their case for election. More information provided by the candidate is available on the PA PAC website.

The PA PAC and PA members will meet and vote on which candidate will receive the PA's 2025 Municipal Election endorsement.

The Duke History+ Program chose People's Alliance as a client this summer. One of their products was the draft of a PA History Page on the website. We were all impressed with the work of Angela Chen, Minh Khoi Dam, Madison Lampty, & Nazifa Rahman (assisted greatly by Abram Smith).

Duke Graduate Student Lucy Sasser conducted some high level research in Tax Justice and presented at a July Issue Forum. PA has been fortunate to host Dylan Ritz from the UNC Kessler Scholars. Dylan has been assisting with the Ed Team, working on the Housing Forum and learning about the PA Data system.
