This past weekend, the legendary David Letterman, who preceded Stephen
Colbert as host of The Late Show, called Paramount and CBS's decision to
cancel Colbert "gutless" and "pure cowardice."

Former Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd was just as direct, declaring
that caving to Trump effectively "made CBS state TV," with restrictions on
the network more severe than anything "since World War II propaganda."
