Don’t let Mitch McConnell and his Republican majority get away with breaking for recess without moving on this legislation that the House passed over a month ago! Americans are losing their lives and livelihoods and the ability of millions of voters to exercise their right to cast a ballot is on the line!
Make a call to your senators to urge them to act NOW! You can either dial 844-248-4061 or text "HEROES" to 21333 to get connected to your senators' offices.
When you get connected, here's what you can say:
My name is ________ and I am a constituent from ________ and I am calling to urge you to support the HEROES Act that provides coronavirus relief that the House of Representatives passed over a month ago. The economic and public health crisis is not over and it is YOUR job to provide relief and protect our elections. You must act on this bill before you leave for recess.
The HEROES Act provides funding, not only to keep families afloat in this economic and public health crisis, but also in support of localities and states which are carrying much of the responsibility for supporting our communities through this time. Especially in advance of the 2020 election, we need to ensure that our communities have the resources they need to advance free and fair elections.
