Sand-bottom swim pond at Flandrau State Park closed for the 2025 season

The swim pond at Flandrau State Park in New Ulm, Minn., has closed for the remainder of the 2025 season. The pond was originally scheduled to be open through Aug. 17, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources regrets the need to make this schedule adjustment. However, operational needs at the park necessitated an early closure. The beach house near the swim pond will remain open for access to the bathrooms and drinking water.
