This is one scary tweet.
Instead of encouraging the American people to vote by mail -- one of the best ways to vote safely during a pandemic -- Trump is using it to lie and preemptively cast doubt on the upcoming election.
This sentiment isn’t confined to his Twitter rants. During the 2016 election, Trump threatened on national television that he wouldn’t accept the results unless he won. We can’t count on Trump to offer a coherent vision or plan, but when it comes to undermining the 2020 presidential election, he’s been unequivocal. Clearly, he is willing to reject the results in November if he loses.
That’s why Indivisible and Stand Up America have launched Protect the Results, a way for progressives around the country to plug in and mobilize if the time comes.

Sowing fear and chaos is Trump’s M.O. It’s how he won the presidency in 2016 -- and he’s hellbent on doing it again. If all goes well, you won’t be hearing from us at all. But if the worst comes to pass, we’ll be ready.
If Trump loses, he must concede. Our democracy depends on it.
Thanks for all you do.
