George Mason University In The News:

Democrats, it's safe to say, support public K-12+ Education. As you may know, Youngkin, who aspires to follow Trump in infamy, is attacking the academic integrity of two local public education institutions: George Mason University and Fairfax County Public Schools. His gang of governors at GMU are voting Friday on the future of GMU's well-respected president, Gregory Washington. For the moment, let's focus on the plight of GMU by sending the governor an email using his contact page to let him know where you stand.

You can also attend the two Friday, August 1 rallies organized by Red Wine & Blue:

This is an excellent resource page: /standwithmason.com/. You can also sign the letter of support on the website.

Our School Supply Drive Director, Marguerite, asked us to share this message:  We are a little more than half way through our goal of $30k for the Backpacks.  We've raised about $18,000 in monetary and in-kind donations but still have $12,000 to go. The Amazon wish list closes this Wednesday but what we really need to make this year's drive a success are monetary donations to finish buying the supplies that are not on the list or have not been purchased.

The Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC) is the largest local affiliate of the Democratic Party in Virginia. Accounting for 1 in 5 votes for statewide Democratic candidates, Fairfax County is vital to keeping the Commonwealth blue and moving progressive policies forward. FCDC is at the center of the action, made up of over 1,000 community leaders and activists working year-round to educate voters, advocate for issues, and get Democrats up and down the ballot elected.
