Hi  John,

Ever wake up and find out you've been publicly rebuked by an Evangelical trade association in a major religious publication? We just did!

Apparently, our work exposing Health Care Sharing Ministries (HCSMs) has struck a nerve: a big enough nerve to earn us a shout-out (read: attack) alongside John Oliver in the Christian Post, the self-proclaimed “#1 Digital Christian News Source.”

We're not just happy, we're fired up because clearly, we’re striking a nerve. When Christian Nationalists start calling us out, it means our efforts have them scared. And being associated with John Oliver, the undisputed king of investigative satire? We'll take that as a badge of honor!

Christian Nationalists are upset because we're shining a bright, inconvenient light on Health Care Sharing Ministries (HCSMs) - entities that often masquerade as legitimate health insurance but leave countless families unprotected and financially devastated. As we've highlighted before, these scams aren't insurance, and consumers deserve to know the truth.

Our push for the Health Share Transparency Act and other state-level accountability efforts isn’t about persecuting Conservative Evangelicals as the Christian Post claims. We’re fighting to protect consumers, ensure transparency, and hold these misleading organizations accountable; but if that's "bigotry and intolerance toward religious Americans" as the Christian Post claims, then consider us guilty as charged.

This kind of attention means we're effective, but it also means the fight is getting tougher. They're mobilizing, and we need to be ready to push back even harder.

With your help, we’re supporting more humanist and atheist officials and destigmatizing being an atheist in office, expanding the Congressional Freethought Caucus, producing the research lawmakers need, and fighting for laws that protect people. And of course, keep making good trouble for those who profit from the desperation and suffering of others.

Will you stand with us and make a donation today?[[link removed]] Every dollar fuels our efforts to ensure transparency and protect vulnerable Americans.
