WISCONSIN WANTS TO KNOW...

This week in Madison a group of protesters took it upon themselves to destroy statues located at our state capitol, vandalize the building and attach one of our state senators. Our question is simply this:

Where was Governor Evers?

"When the seat of our state government is threatened, it is the governor’s job to do what needs to be done to thwart destructive efforts. It’s not as if the governor didn’t know these folks were set on major mischief. They have been talking openly about their plans for days."

"Diversity/Inclusion" Badge Mandated to Attain Rank of Eagle Scout

The Boy Scouts of America in a show of support for Black Lives Matter has declared that to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, a member must earn a diversity and inclusion merit badge. This comes just months after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to halt the barrage of lawsuits that have been brought because of sexual abuse claims over the years. In a letter to scouting families, the BSA said it will also require diversity and inclusion training for all employees starting on July 1, along with reviewing every element of its programs.

"Racism is wrong. Period," says Julaine Appling, "However, diversity and inclusion training will include much more than promoting the proper treatment of people of different races. It typically is full indoctrination of the LGBTQ agenda, pushing normalization, a path the BSA has chosen for some time. Requiring this merit badge, however, is yet another step in the wrong direction for this beleaguered organization."

Managing the Marriage Moolah

Writing for Crosswalk.com, Whitney Hopler notes that building a strong marriage requires, among other things, that the couple manage their money wisely and that the management be done together. Hopler urges couples to control their money so it doesn’t control them. Practical suggestions include spending less than you earn; paying off debts as quickly as possible; changing spending habits to avoid new debt; creating and sticking to a budget for spending, giving, saving and investing; and setting short-term and long-term financial goals together. Read more HERE.

WFA president Julaine Appling says, "Money too often becomes a major source of contention in a marriage. Good premarital counseling will reveal differences in the way the man and the woman see and deal with money and financial matters. One thing for certain, couples should make tithing a regular part of their lives, giving of the first-fruits of their income. God will definitely honor that step of faith and obedience."
