Hello,

Just when we thought the contest for vice president was winding down, a new contender appeared on the scene.

Congresswoman Karen Bass -- chair of the Congressional Black Caucus -- is now being vetted by the Biden campaign as a potential running mate.

With her prominent role in pursuing police reform in the House and her past work helping to save Americans from the worst of the 2009 financial crisis -- work for which she won the Profile in Courage Award in 2010 -- Congresswoman Bass could be exactly the leader we need to meet the current moment.

But Biden hasn’t made a selection yet -- and with how fast the news is moving, his August 1 deadline still seems lightyears away. Anything could happen next -- what future ticket would you prefer? Tell us:

Who would you like as VP?
