Dear Friends, 

Join me this Wednesday, July 30th, at 5:00 PM, for a virtual town hall with Attorney General William Tong. You can register for the event HERE.    

Congress recently passed a bill I opposed that will cut Medicaid and SNAP nutrition benefits to pay for a tax break that largely benefits the wealthy. The Trump Administration and its ‘DOGE’ have also continued to target Social Security. They have laid off thousands of workers, tried to slash phone services and close offices, and the Supreme Court even ruled they could access sensitive beneficiary data – including income history and medical records. 

I continue to speak out against these cuts and am committed to not just protecting but strengthening Americans' earned benefits. Attorney General Tong has led the way in court to challenge cuts at the Social Security Administration, as well as President Trump’s orders targeting birthright citizenship and the Department of Education. 

As your representative, I want to hear from you. I look forward to discussing these issues and answering your questions with Attorney General Tong.
