We had to send a note after reading this outrageous statistic uncovered by The Washington Post: The Trump administration has resisted (which is to say, defied) 34% of court orders filed against it this year. That's right — more than one-third of all legal rulings checking Trump's power, flagrantly ignored.
It doesn't seem normal because it isn't normal. This is a historic power grab by a U.S. president clearly attempting to ignore the rule of law and democracy in his own country.
This is a break-glass moment for Americans to stand up to this abuse of our fundamental institutions.
