At the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV), we know that police violence IS gun violence. Reform is overdue. Our nation needs to address this violence by making real changes to the structural inequities within our law enforcement and judicial systems. This is why we have endorsed ([link removed]) the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2020 -- an important first step towards addressing these issues.

While much work remains to be done, we know we must start with the passage of this act. This bill takes concrete first steps to prohibit racial and religious profiling, strengthen the Department of Justice's ability to prosecute law enforcement, and increase the transparency and accountability of police departments.

The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2020 comes up for a vote today. We need your help to make our voices heard!
