It permanently classifies fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I drugs — the harshest penalties under federal law — and ensures law enforcement has the tools they need to get this poison off our streets.
Let’s be clear: fentanyl is not just another drug. It’s a synthetic killer responsible for over 70,000 American deaths last year alone. And the cartels pushing it across our southern border don’t care if the victims are teens in small town Minnesota or parents in the heart of our cities.
That’s why I took action. Because while some politicians are busy making excuses or playing political games, I’m focused on delivering real results by protecting our families, supporting law enforcement, and cracking down on the criminals fueling this crisis.
