Donald Trump just took a sledgehammer to the free press and not enough people are talking about it.

As a condition of approving a massive $8 billion media merger, Trump’s FCC forced Paramount to appoint a “bias monitor” to oversee CBS.

In other words, Trump is installing political watchdogs inside networks to make sure coverage doesn’t make him look bad.

If he gets away with it, every major media company will be next. Networks won’t be independent. They’ll be pro-Trump or else.

This is exactly how authoritarians tighten their grip by forcing institutions, private companies, journalists, and even comedians to fall in line and push their agenda. Unless we stop him at the ballot box, Trump will keep expanding this propaganda machine until it’s all that’s left.
