Raised by a single mom (her, not me), Peggy understands the vital role federal programs play in supporting working families. From Section 8 housing vouchers to health insurance and child care assistance, she knows firsthand how these resources can transform lives. Peggy’s credentials are impressive: currently serving as Minnesota’s Lieutenant Governor, she's the highest-ranking Native American woman ever elected to executive office in our country. Oh, and in case you’re wondering — yes, Peggy will be the first Native American woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate. She also refuses to take a cent of corporate PAC money, because she won’t be a puppet for corporate interests.
