John, our Emergency Country Director Scott Lea just shared devastating news out of Gaza:
"There is simply not enough clean water to meet the needs of the population in Gaza. The people we meet have no food, and now no water."
When clean water runs out, it's not just thirst that threatens lives. Families are forced to rely on unsafe water sources for cooking, cleaning and bathing—putting children especially at risk of deadly disease.
With millions of lives on the line, the IRC is working around the clock to deliver lifesaving aid—but we need your help to reach more families. I'm asking you to act now: Please rush an emergency donation for children and families in Gaza and in crisis zones worldwide. You can use this link to make a donation and it will instantly be 2X matched » [link removed]

Dr. Wala'a is part of the team at Juzoor for Health and Social Development, an IRC partner that has been providing lifesaving care in more than 30 shelters across Gaza and through mobile health teams. Amid the intense hostilities, she and her team remain focused on treating acute malnutrition using the IRC's simplified protocols that have been proven to treat malnutrition quickly and effectively.

Mohammed Mansour, IRC's senior nutrition manager, leads efforts to deliver lifesaving care to Gaza's most vulnerable. For children under five, his team uses IRC's simplified protocols to screen, diagnose and treat acute malnutrition. With a simple mid-upper arm circumference tape, they quickly assess severity and admit at-risk children into nutrition programs where they receive weekly rations of ready-to-use therapeutic food—a vitamin-rich, peanut-based paste proven over 90% effective in curing acute malnutrition.
🚨 But with millions without access to sufficient food or clean water, we must urgently scale up our response to help children and families survive.
Please rush your 2X matched donation now for families in crisis. Children in Gaza and around the world are counting on us.
