Yet another federal court just struck down Trump’s attempt to end birthright citizenship — reaffirming what we already know: the Constitution is clear, and children born in the US are citizens.

This is a big win — for immigrant families like my own, for our Constitution, and for everyone who believes that no person should have to live in fear of losing the only home they’ve ever known.

Trump’s attacks on birthright citizenship have never been about laws or fairness. They are about stripping away rights, sowing division, and sending a cruel message: Republicans don’t think we belong here.

But this decision affirms a different message: Yes we do.
