With all of the constant negative news, I think it’s important to celebrate our wins against the MAGA machine. Here are a few examples of our advocacy working: 1. We secured the release of our $221 million federal grant for rebuilding the Washington Bridge.
2. Strong public pressure and grassroots advocacy from supporters like YOU ensured we cancelled the sale of public lands that Trump wanted. This is a HUGE win!
3. The military freeze on aid to Ukraine was lifted , keeping the United States on the side of democracy and freedom
4. Following our advocacy, millions of dollars of funding for education was just restored , ensuring students in Rhode Island across the country will continue to access vital afterschool programs
These are hard times, but despite Republican control of Washington, all is not lost. We can score important victories for Rhode Island and our country if we keep fighting.
