Team, Saturday, Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy and Florida Representative Maxwell Frost held a town hall in Dayton, Ohio.
That’s right. While Ohio Republicans are hiding, STILL too scared to face their constituents and be held accountable, Democrats are listening to Ohioans.
Senator Murphy and Representative Frost came to listen to Ohioans greatest concerns – because that’s what public service is actually supposed to look like.
Ohio Republicans gutted Medicaid, kicked hundreds of thousands of people off of their healthcare, and then vanished. Over 770,000 Ohioans could lose insurance and our GOP members won’t even show their faces. This is what we’re up against: a party that’s ripping away lifesaving care from working families, then running for cover.
This town hall made something painfully clear: Ohioans are showing up and making their voices heard in the democratic process, but our Republican leaders don’t have the decency to do the same.
Will you chip in before our end-of-month fundraising deadline to give us the resources we need to defeat the Ohio GOP in the midterms next year? If they won’t face their constituents, we’ll make sure they meet their consequences at the ballot box.
Thank you,
Ohio Dems
