Truth Keeps Winning!

Dear John,

Even though the mainstream media won’t tell you, there is good news to report! Judeo/Christian values are winning every day, and biblical truth is prevailing.

Positive things are happening, and here are some stories that will encourage you:

President Trump Signs Executive Order to Crack Down on Homeless Encampments

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday aimed at assisting local jurisdictions in removing homeless encampments from public streets.

“Endemic vagrancy, disorderly behavior, sudden confrontations, and violent attacks have made our cities unsafe. The number of individuals living on the streets in the United States on a single night during the last year of the previous administration — 274,224 — was the highest ever recorded,” the order stated.

The order calls for shifting homeless individuals with drug addiction and mental conditions “into long-term institutional settings for humane treatment,” arguing such action will help “restore public order.” It criticizes current approaches that the administration says have enabled street homelessness rather than addressed its root causes.

Teen Died for 1 Hour After Falling Through Icy Water, but Mom’s Prayer Brought Him Back to Life

The story of a teenager who fell through the ice in 2015, was under water for 15 minutes, and was clinically dead for over an hour before miraculously being brought back to life has captivated audiences.

John Smith’s story was so compelling it was made into a feature film, “Breakthrough,” a 2019 drama starring Chrissy Metz of “This Is Us” fame. Jason Noble, the real-life preacher who ministered to Smith’s family during the ordeal, recently reflected on the impact of the story nearly a decade later.

“It’s a modern-day Lazarus story when you look back and you see,” he said. “John — he was 15 years old — fell through the ice in St. Louis, was dead, was under for 15 minutes, dead for an hour and 15 [minutes].”

But while Smith lay dead in a hospital, his mother turned to the Lord and pleaded for her son’s life.

Some Nebraska Republicans join national quest to infuse more religion into schools

LINCOLN – Across the street from the Nebraska State Capitol, a monument to the Ten Commandments stands on the sidewalk outside of St. Mary Catholic Church. Although it’s not on Capitol grounds, as in some states, religion still similarly influences the statehouse.

This year, three Nebraska lawmakers have bills that could infuse more religion into public schools and test the legal limits of the separation of church and state. While the bills might not pass during this legislative session, they reflect a push by Republican state lawmakers nationwide, emboldened by President Donald Trump’s second term and recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions that appear to have altered the legal landscape for religion in education.
