As the only Black woman currently serving in the Senate, I can tell you that Congress could use more Black women — plain and simple. Our voices and perspectives are critical and sorely needed.

That’s why I’m proud to stand with Reps. Jahana Hayes and Lauren Underwood, as well as candidates Joyce Elliot and Patricia Timmons-Goodson, as they run for re-election and election.

I’m hosting an event (virtually, of course) along with EMILY’s List Executive Director Emily Cain to support these four incredible women, and I wanted to personally invite you to take part — we’d all love to see you there.
