Dear Friend,

During the recent district work period, we had a chance to visit innovators and businesses of all sizes across Minnesota’s Sixth District.

First, we had the chance to step behind the counter at Ralphie’s Minnoco in Clear Lake. It was a pleasure to interact with so many of our constituents while learning more about the daily operations and challenges of running a convenience store. Thank you, Brian and everyone at Ralphie’s for showing me around and letting me help out!

Later, we toured the Niron Magnetics facility and learned more about their upcoming Sartell facility. This new facility will bring next-generation technology manufacturing and hundreds of good-paying jobs to our district. We also had the chance to discuss the tax provisions in our One Big Beautiful bill that will help make this new facility possible, and ensure that our state remains a leader in American manufacturing.

After, we met members of the Sea Foam team and had a chance to tour their manufacturing facility in Chaska. Sea Foam has been keeping Minnesotans moving and having fun on the road, trail, and water, since 1942 and it was a pleasure to learn more about their manufacturing process and the challenges they face. Just before our meeting, in response to outreach from our office, we learned that the federal government has delayed enforcement of a bureaucratic, 2023 rule that would have caused chaos in their manufacturing process. We were happy to fight for this historic business as they continue to employ hundreds of Minnesotans and manufacture one of the safest fuel additives on the market while maintaining a perfect safety record.

We also had the opportunity to meet with community bankers in Annandale. During our roundtable discussion, we discussed our recent work on the House Financial Services Committee and how our One Big Beautiful Bill empowers local banks to continue driving growth in our communities and support businesses like the many we visited.

As Congress moves into the August work period, we look forward to meeting with many more Minnesotans and business leaders to discuss their priorities and work together on solutions that strengthen our communities.

Sincerely,
