CATS Offers Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) Business Opportunities at ‘Meet the Primes’ Event on July 29

CATS is building a new South End Station – set to begin construction in 2026 – on the Blue Line and holding an event for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) to connect with prime contractors as they work to bring on subcontractors on Tuesday, July 29 from 9 – 11 AM at the CMGC.

This event is an excellent opportunity for DBEs to connect with other small businesses and learn ways to get involved with CATS and other Charlotte contracting opportunities. Representatives from the City’s small business program and the NCDOT Unified Certification Program will be in attendance to answer questions about DBE/MWSBE certifications and how to participate in future projects.

Certified DBES, small businesses looking to subcontract and firms curious about DBE certification or working for the city are encouraged to attend and
register here. Participants parking will be validated.
