Dear Friend,

I need to ask for your help again.

President Trump’s administration just announced it will end federal funding for coronavirus test sites in 5 states by the end of this month. Five. Days. From. Today.

I’m shocked but not surprised. In Tulsa Saturday night, he said that he “told his people to slow down testing,” complaining that the more tests you do, the more infections you find.

Mind you, President Trump supports testing when it’s done to protect his own health. Anyone who sets foot on the White House grounds is tested for coronavirus first. So why is he putting our health at risk?

The president’s staff tried to downplay his outrageous comments, brushing them off as a joke. But yesterday the President himself confirmed that he wanted to slow down testing -- saying, “I don’t kid.”

A pandemic is no laughing matter. The stakes are too high, especially for older Americans.

Coronavirus cases are soaring again. More than 125,000 Americans have died, and most were over the age of 65. Nursing homes STILL don’t have proper protective equipment. And a vaccine and treatment are likely a year away at best.

Even Texas Senator Ted Cruz is begging the White House not to walk away from its responsibilities to the American people.

We can do this. The Trump Administration has caved to public pressure before -- but only if we make them feel the heat.

We won’t win the battle against the pandemic without EVERYONE playing their part. And that includes the White House and the President.

Thanks for all you do.

Sincerely,

Richard Fiesta
